[Sinacova's Commitment] Factory Tour Report in Okayama Prefecture Part 1

SINACOVA's denim products are actually made in Okayama.

Denim jackets, jeans, etc.

I actually visited the sewing factory, so I've summarized my findings in a blog post!
Please take a look.

This time, we visited a sewing factory in Kojima, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture.

What catches your eye are the many sewing machines lined up in a row.
The work was done in separate areas: the space for creating samples and the space for actual production.
At the production site, different people were in charge of each process, and they all performed the same tasks in silence.

Since the thread used is different for each product, there is a wide selection of embroidery threads available.

The number of craftsmen who make these metal fittings for loop stitching on a sewing machine is decreasing, making it difficult to pass on the skills.

Regarding cutting, there were denim cutters there, but the process has become more mechanized, with automatic cutting machines and computer-controlled cutting machines being introduced to ensure precise cutting.
Since the fabric is layered and cut together, the layers are sewn together to match the shades of color.

During the tour of the sewing factory and explanation, we could see how detailed processes are managed for each part and how much effort is required to complete a single product.
Because they are so carefully finished, we have to handle them with even more care, and I think this leads to long-lasting, durable products.

I learned a lot by experiencing another side of SINACOVA products, such as the knowledge and attention to detail that cannot be sensed just by looking at the finished product.

Next time we will talk about denim processing factories.
